NASA announced that its Parker Solar Probe was the first spacecraft to ever “touch the Sun” by flying through its corona, or upper atmosphere. The probe captured the first photos ever from within the corona, and here they are.

About Us

Hello, we are the “Helios 5 “team. Our team motto is “As Icarus loved the sun”. We are based in Ohrid, Macedonia. Our team leader is Ivona Taseska, and we, the other team members are Borche Isakoski, Metodija Stojanoski and Dario Trantalovski. This is a series of educational videos where you can learn about the Parker Solar Probe’s journey. This story is a parallel to one of the most famous myths in history, the myth of Icarus, “As Icarus flew too close to the sun”.

Ivona Taseska

Ivona is a junior student in high school. She currently studies at Yahya Kemal College in Struga, but she lives in Ohrid. She wants to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Science Engineering.

Borche Isakoski

Team member

Borche is a junior in highschool. He studies in Yahya Kemal College in Struga, but he lives in Ohrid. He wants to get a Bachelor's degree in Astrophysics.

Dario Trantalovski

Team member

Dario is a junior student in high school. He studies at Yahya Kemal College in Struga, but is originally from Resen. He wants to get a Bachelor's degree in Astronomy.

Metodija Stojanoski

Team member

Metodija is a junior high school student. He currently studies at Yahya Kemal College in Struga. He wants to get a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences.

Vera Zoroska

Team Mentor

Vera is the team's mentor who introduced this challenge to them. She is a physics teacher from Ohrid.
